Summer Plans: Engage4Life

A couple of months ago I signed up for this program called Engage4Life (cheesy-sounding, I know), which is some government program designed to keep bored teens off the streets. I know I'm not the type to spend my activity-less days hitting old women on the head with a shovel for fun, as we all know 'the majority' of the teenage population do do (har. har.), but nonetheless I thought it would be a fun and unusual way of spending my extended summer.

Anyway, the program starts on Monday of next week (23rd), and involves:

  • A 5 day residential in Wales with adventure/outdoor activities
  • A 5 day residential in a local hotel (not quite sure what's going on there
  • A 'community action project' - ie, doing something to help the local community.
I'm pretty excited about it, a bit apprehensive because I don't know many of the people and so it could be strange, but mostly excited.

So, while I'm off in Wales and whatnot, I will probably not have access to the internet (at least for the first week), so it is likely that YouTube will be a bit redundant for at least 5 days. I am pre-filming videos and editing as many as possible before I leave - I'll upload them as private and then try and make them public with my phone during the week, but in case that doesn't happen (which it probably won't, knowing my luck), I am putting extra up beforehand; I don't want to leave the channel neglected with only 3 videos on it.

I thought I should give you a heads up and let you know what I'm doing for the summer. I'll tell you all about it as we go along. If I pluck up the courage to tell people about YouTube, then I may even try and do some follow-me-around vlogs when I'm there  (no promises, my channel is like my dirty little secret, only not so dirty). If not, I will get some footage and make a montage type thing, if they're interesting. Likelihood is I'll be muddy and falling over in most of it, so it could be entertaining at least.
