Crochet Playlist !

Well, as you know (or can see below), I am tackling a pretty big project at the moment (25 rounds so far!), and to do so, I need a good playlist, so here it is:

• Rihanna - California King Bed (I have a slight addiction to this, and I haven't recently been much of a Rihanna fan)
• Lady Antebellum (again, not usual style)
• Taylor Swift (especially Mean, The Story of Us and Sparks Fly)
• Nicki Minaj - Super Bass (because, annoyingly, it is stuck in my head, and this is the only way to get it out!)
• My Chemical Romance (a recently aquired taste)
• The Decemberists (another recently acquired taste, I hated them, but then I heard 'The King Is Dead', their newest album)

And also various other tracks that I have forever loved!  E4's Big Bang Theory marathon and My Name Is Earl are good'uns too :D

I am starting to like the whole 'emo' music, even though I am far from emo and I know that people take offence to references to that 'genre', but has anyone, from the small number of people currently reading, got any suggestions? I am a very very very fussy person when it comes to music... comment below with suggestions si tu plait!  (I also like french music :P)

Granny Afghan! (pics)

Well, I promised them, and here they are, my afghan so far, in pictures:

It is 19 and a bit rows so far, a gajillion treble clusters andquite big for less than 2 days worth of work :)  (in my opinion...)

What do you think? the colours haven't shown up too well in the picture as my webcam is about five years old, and so not very high quality. my phone camera isn't any better either...  it is brighter than that in real life...  let me know! :D

New Layout :)

Are you liking the new layout? I thought we needed a makeover, seeing as it looked pretty boring before, how does it look to you? Any good?
I am unsure about the 'logo', I'll have a play around with it :)

Granny Afghan!

Well, I haven't posted for a while, but I need to make a good habit of it. Then again, what's the point of posting in a blog when you have nothing to post about? Hence the time-gap. Anywhoo...

I have begun crocheting a granny square blanket, it will be up in my etsy store (probably the first thing up there, unless I put everything else on there pronto), and it is essentially a giant granny square, with loads of colours and lots and lots of rounds. I will be doing a count-up of rounds and clusters (those of you who don't crochet won't understand that)

Looking forward to the finished product? Me too! I would post a picture, but I am babysitting for my neighbour, and the incomplete afghan is currently at home, resting, after having been manically worked on all of yesterday ;P

I promise you a photo later, when I finally get home. I tell you, babysitting in the daytime is pretty boring, especially when you think 'oh, I won't bring my blanket with me because I won't be that bored, its only a few hours!' stupid traffic...

More!!

Well, it has finally hit me, my one pair of good knitting needles are not going to get me very far with knitting a range of good quality products, and I can't afford new needles right now, sooo...
...I am going to also sell friendship bracelets!  They will be in packs of 5-10 (I haven't decided yet) and should be pretty low in price, considering I can make them really quickly and the embroidery floss stuff isn't too pricey! Win, win!  I just hope people like + buy, otherwise I'm never going to get this thing off the ground...

Finished!

I have made my first decent iPod case, I made one but it failed because the cabling wasn't the best...  but this one is much better, I think I'll scrap the experimentals for now.

So I have a purple one, what colours are seeming good to you?  blue, pink, green, white...  the actual cases will all be cabled with a crochet border and a simple knitted back. I can't wait to buy some circular needles though!!

It won't be up for sale until I work out how to send them to people and get that all ready, and I also need to build up a mini stock because I don't think having one up for sale is particularly impressive...
